Picture taken from "The London Journal" 10th January 1863 entitled "The Port of Harwich" The Harbour and Trade of Harwich. Harwich now is just a place of national interest,on account of its having been selected for public works on the Eastern coast. Harwich was able to refit any ships in the navy, that might be in any way disabled. For many years Harwich has been been the principle fishing town near London, whence the tables of people in good circumstances are supplied with excellent Cod, Haddock, Turbot, Skate, Whiting and other fish.
